First off, Merry Christmas & Happy Holidays!
I've been feeling pretty sick for the last few days, so I just want to say that I'm sorry to everyone I owe lines to. I WILL do them, it's just that between not feeling well and being busy around the holidays it's easy to get behind. Please be patient!
Also, I FINALLY bought CoD:MW2. We'll see how that goes.

Things you should eat / drink often.
Soy - whether it be soy milk, tofu, or miso...soy is an "Anti-Inflammatory" and will help clear mucus and boost your immunity.
Leeks / Onions / Garlic - anything in the Alliaceae family, these potent veggies are packed full of vitamins and natural antioxidants to aid in a flu.
Chicken Soup - Somehow the protein and fat in chicken responds nicely to replacing the lipids that protect damaged blood cells.
Meat - Eat LOTS of MEAT! Protein aids in giving you strength and energy to recover.

Flu Fighting Chili
Eating chili can help prevent colds and the flu if you make it with the right ingredients Eating chili is a delicious way to warm up after a winter run -- and it can also help prevent colds and the flu if you make it with the right ingredients. The following recipe, courtesy of Wake Forest University's Mara Vitolins, contains an arsenal of immunity-boosters.All of the vegetables (including the onions and garlic) offer immunity-boosting phytochemicals, but the tomatoes are particularly powerful. In addition to the phytochemical lycopene, tomatoes contain potassium and vitamins A and C. The tofu and beans supply an immunity-boosting isoflavone called daidzein, and the hot sauce will open up your nasal passages if you're congested.
1 whole onion, chopped
1 whole sweet green pepper chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon soybean or olive oil
1 16-oz package extra-firm tofu, drained and crumbled
1 1/2 cans (19 ounces) kidney, pinto, or white beans
1 28-oz can stewed tomatoes
3 medium carrots, sliced
2 tablespoons mild chili powder
1 teaspoon cumin
1 teaspoon hot sauce
add salt and pepper to taste
Sauté the onion, pepper and garlic in the oil over medium heat. Add the tofu and sauté until crisp and lightly browned (about 10 minutes). Add the beans, stewed tomatoes, carrots, chili powder, cumin, hot sauce, salt and pepper. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 50 to 60 minutes

Take care...your on your own so no one is there to care for you.
Sometimes I get my fluids by buying one of those BIG GULPs from 7-11 and I constantly re-fill it with lemon and ice water.
